Here are top 10 thoughts for productive people! …


Okay I have been wondering about this for a couple of weeks now, what are some thoughts that productive people are thinking?  I want to be more productive with the time I have and I know I need new thoughts to think.

  1. I’m in charge of my own schedule
    • Too often we want to give away our power to everyone and everything outside of us.  Own that your schedule is up to you, you have the power to decide how you are going to spend your time and energy.   Feel empowered by that, take ownership of it and move forward with confidence!   
  2. I will see this through
    • Commitment is key to moving forward in our lives.  When we choose to believe that ‘we will see this through,’ then when obstacles get in the way we continue to push through because we aren’t afraid of the setbacks.  The setbacks are just information, showing us what we need to tweak or change in order to move forward. 
  3. I will continue to grow as a person
    • Instead of focusing on perfection, focus on the enjoyment of learning, growing and stretching yourself.  Productive people enjoy the journey of figuring it out, working hard and continuing on.  Choose to have an insatiable curiosity and thirst for learning new things and ways of doing things.
  4. I am capable
    • When we don’t believe in our ability to get things done, we shut down and do nothing.  The most important thing we can tell ourselves is that we are capable – we are capable of figuring it out, accomplishing that thing, and taking ownership of our schedule.  You’ve got this!
  5. I am focused on the here and now
    • People falsely believe that multitasking is the way to accomplishing more.  However, the opposite is true, if we can learn to focus on the here and now, the task at hand instead of trying to figure out every other task simultaneously, our focus and energy will be magnified and we will be able to get more done in a smaller amount of time.
  6. Time is on my side
    • If we constantly believe we don’t have enough time, then we are always fighting against the time we have.  Choosing to believe that time is on our side and we have the time, opens us up to making that possible for ourselves.  Stop fighting against the time you have and use it to your advantage!
  7. It’s okay to say no
    • Take ownership of your life and choices.  You have the power to say no to things that don’t align with your goals or your time available. Prioritize what is important to you and be intentional about what you say yes to and what you say no to. 
  8. Failure is a part of growth
    • In order to be productive we have to be willing to fail and fall short at times.  Turn failures into learning experiences and keep going strong, knowing the next success is right around the corner.
  9. Small steps forward are better than none
    • All or nothing thinking makes us believe we have to accomplish the entire task at hand or it’s not worth doing.  But what if we shifted that to believe that small steps forward are better than none.  If we can make a little progress in that one area today and everyday this week think of where we will be in 7 days from now!  The compound effect is incredible- trust that. 
  10. Way to go ME!
    • Be sure to celebrate the small wins all along the way.  Too often we forget how much progress we are making because we focus on what didn’t get done instead of what did.  Take a moment at the end of each day and congratulate and thank yourself for doing what you did!
