In our coaching practice, we take real-time situations and slow them down by identifying our thoughts, feelings, and actions and what we are BECOMING. As we recognize what is happening in our brain we can step back, ask questions, maybe even laugh a little and regain power from within by looking at life through a lens of compassion and self-love.

It is exactly that…a place where you can come to find purpose and clarity in the very place that you stand. We often feel that the things outside of us must change to find joy and clarity, but that is not always true. We believe that by shifting what is happening on the inside…our thoughts, feelings and actions…it is possible to find purpose and meaning. Nothing changes…and yet everything changes.

Therapy = past focused Life-coaching = present and future focused Therapists analyze their client’s past as a tool for understanding present behaviors. By working through things in your past, healing trauma and resolving past issues as well as problematic beliefs and behaviors, therapists enable clients to create a happier, more stable future. Life coaches, on the other hand, aren’t trying to solve problems from the past, they are trying to create amazingness for the present and future. The goal of life coaching is to help you get “unstuck” and to learn the strategies and tools necessary to move forward. While life coaching may touch on the past as you break down your limiting beliefs and examine your blueprint, their ultimate focus is always on the present and the future with a focus on who you want to be today and who you want to become moving forward. A life coach helps set you on the track that leads you to your best self. Therapists and life coaches both work to enable clients to make positive changes in their lives and become more productive. Both practices are incredibly valuable, it just depends on what focus you are needing in your life. depending on what it is you are needing in your life. Here is another way to look at it: If you were to prepare to climb Mt. Everest, for example, the therapist would be the doctor checking up on you, making sure you are in good health and having the proper strength you need in order to begin climbing the mountain. A life-coach would be the guide taking you up that mountain, teaching you strategies, guiding you along the way and empowering you to take that next step forward.

No, your life doesn’t have to be a mess to have a life coach. One of the amazing benefits of having a life coach is simply taking your already great life and making it even more amazing. Life coaches can help you plan, strategize, focus on a skill or goal, provide a different perspective, motivate you, and provide clarity around so many areas of your life. It’s a way of growing and progressing and it is so incredibly empowering regardless of where you are at in life and how you feel about your life. Whether your life is a mess or not, a coach can help you strategize, motivate, and get you on the level you want to be at.

A life coach is meant to be an investment, so the real question you need to ask yourself is what are you doing to invest in yourself? How are you bettering yourself as a person? One of the best investments you will ever make is within yourself. Just like any investment, there is potential for return or loss, however, many find that when they select a coach that is a good fit and they choose to really apply themselves, they see amazing results. Ask any successful person if they made it to where they are by themselves. No one succeeds on their own. Bigger teams mean bigger dreams. The more support you have, the more potential you have to go bigger in life. Making this investment can by far pay dividends in all areas of your life!

There are many life coaches out there to choose from. All are unique because every person brings their own style and personality to the table. Different life coaches use different tools and may focus on different areas of expertise. What makes life coaches unique is their passion for learning about life. Their purpose is not to solve every problem you run into. It’s to work with you to solve the problem. A good life coach will create a constructive dialogue to help you find the solution to your problem. Ultimately you need to find the right fit for you. Find the voice and tools that you resonate with and find someone you trust and can connect with. Some great questions to ask when seeking a life coach are: What values are important to me and do they align? What areas of my life do I feel stuck in and how can this person help?
