A common strategy for deepening understanding is to reword a verse and apply it to your life. This is the power of the Circle! By diagraming portions of a conference talk or scripture into the wisdom centers of heart, mind and body I can clearly see what is in my Circle of Influence. It breaks truth down into simple steps allowing me to claim the blessings as I repeat the thoughts, feelings and actions driven by my clear divinity.
Whenever I read a verse or talk and come across one of these words or parts of speech, I get curious about what else I can find surrounding it to fill in or discern for myself.
– description of current state, natural man, “when” —> CUE
– “I am” statement, belief, “remember….”, easily memorizable verse —> THOUGHT
– emotion, adverbs ending in -ly, “faith”, “love” —> FEELING
– a commandment or verb, “thou shalt” —> ACTION
– a promise, “shall”, “will”, “become”, “that ye may”, reference to eternal self —> BECOME
– a true principle, pure doctrine —> DIVINITY
It’s the thrill of the hunt as I search and pray for what deeper insights God wants to teach me through this lens. Always go back and check to see if it flows and rings true to my spirit. Many times phrases shuffle categories to shift insight. I try to write exact words in the Circle then go back and turn negatives to positives. There are no absolute answers. Just a beautiful opportunity to dive in with curiosity and faith, trusting it as a way to receive personal revelation and live the truth I study.
